Tony Calvento, a well-known journalist, has passed away on Monday, October 9, according to a Facebook post of his son, Sonny Calvento. Reports were saying that he passed away due to multiple organ failure.Antonio Alberto Calvento is his full name, and is a famous journalist known for his great reports in print, television, radio, and even in social media. He gained fame for his own column in the newspaper People’s Journal called “Hotline”. He also has been writing a column in the Philippine Star titled “Calvento Files”. This was later turned into a TV show, “The Calvento Files”. The show is hosted by him and features a crime investigation show that aired from 1995 to 1998 in ABS-CBN.
