People might have speculated that Mariel de Leon and Coco Martin are officially dating after photos of them going around Manila while riding a motorcycle made rounds on the internet. Apparently, it’s not what it seems like – the two aren’t together.

The real deal is that the two stars are only shooting for the remake of the hit movie entitled “Ang Panday.” It will be an official entry to the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). The said film is also the debut film of Mariel.

You might as well have to know that she is also the Philippines’ representative for the Miss International 2017 pageant to be held in Japan. The new actress uploaded a photo of her while riding at the back of a motorcycle and her arms wrapped around her co-star Coco on her personal Instagram account. The caption read:

“First time ko eh! At least it’s with @mr.cocomartin hahaha #AngPanday #MMFF”

Well, another great news is that Coco is not just the male lead on the fantasy film. It will also be his directorial debut. Reports said that the veteran actor himself asked permission from the beauty queen’s parents, Sandy Andolong and Christopher de Leon.

Since Mariel is the leading lady, she said that she is open to do a kissing scene. But it’s already as far as she will go.
