Ever since Angel Locsin’s return to the hit fantaserye “La Luna Sangre,” people have been accusing her of stealing the spotlight from the lead stars of the show, Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo. We all know that her former lover – Richard Gutierrez – recently transferred to the same network as hers, and now they are both starring on the said TV show. Is Richard going to defend Angel or bash her alongside other KathNiel supporters?

Well, according to ABS-CBN news, Richard defended the veteran actress and expressed firmly that she doesn’t deserve to get hate comments from people. In an interview, the actor stated:

“Nakakalungkot siyempre ‘di ba, pero tigilan na lang nila ang pang-ba-bash. Wala naman mabuting nadudulot ‘yon. I think we should just be thankful na mayroon isang klaseng show at mayroon katulad ni Angel na nagbibigay ligaya sa mga tao.”

The source also stated that all the negative reactions from people started rushing when Angel portrayed the role of Jacintha Magsaysay. On the other hand, in a recent press conference, she confirmed that the show is for KathNiel and she isn’t competing with them in any form. She said:

“Huwag po kayong mag-alala: ito po ay show ni Kathryn at Daniel. Kung anuman po ang mangyayari dito at mga bagong nagaganap ay para sa kanila. Lahat po tayo ay nagtutulungan at wala pong kompetensiya dito.”

It has been revealed by the creative head of Star Creatives, Henry Quitain, that the character of Angel is essential and has been planned since then. As we all know, the actress also appeared in the show’s predecessor, “Imortal.”

Meanwhile, the tandem of two young stars, KathNiel, has also pleaded the netizens to stop all the hate. The “Teen Queen” explained:

“Siguro ‘yong mga tao na kung anu-ano ang nasasabi online, sana maiwasan. Kasi hindi nila alam ‘yong epekto sa ibang tao.”
