A fisherman from Samar with the alias “Andoy” found a white object that is really massive and hard. Who would’ve thought that this incident could change his life forever as he only ever aimed to earn for a living that day?

The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) revealed that the pearl has to undergo lots of laboratory examinations to confirm if it is genuine. In the first tests that were conducted, it has been shown that the strange-looking object possesses high levels of calcium carbonate – which is a characteristic of true pearls!

It was truly a fateful day for Andoy as it was a genuine porcelain clam, a real pearl! in order to discover the age of the pearl for the sake of determining its market value, the object must be sent to the United states. Let us all pray that this pearl can help the fisherman to give his children a better future.
